I never said I was not spiritual, just that I do not believe in God.I believe that St Nicholas was an actual person who gave to the poor. Santa is a story based on St Nick.I hate the Disney "princess lifestyle" also more propaganda for the masses. I am a woman and my son is my daughter by the way.

Where did your son learn his religious beliefs? Is someone other than you teaching him about moral/ethical issues? If so, you need to take action. YOU are your son's teacher, and to let someone else instill THEIR beliefs in him is irresponsible parenting.

Take the word Santa. Place the "N" at the end of the word. See what that spells? That is what will be inhibiting your kid's mind if you continue teaching your children about God. that whole concept will keep your kid from being able to fully grasp reason and logic when they are grown. ^ Above - actually you're incorrect. Your statement is typical of many Christians who don't know the Bible. Read Leviticus and Deuteronomy - those books are full of religious regulations and rituals established and created by God (if you believe the text). The New Testament affirms what James calls "pure religion" (Js. 1:26-27). The current claim that "Christianity is not a religion, it's a relationship" is complete garbage, according to the Bible itself. Stop quoting bumper stickers and learn something about your own religion.

To the person that quoted verses from the New Testement: if you know anything about biblical history, you would understand that the Jewish culture of that time abided by very strict, religious and ritualistic law, which is the same law they used to justify persecuting and crucifying Christ. They were disgusted by Jesus' proposal that Christianity WAS about a relationship with God and not about 'religious' doctrine. He told them that God was replacing the old law with two new laws: "love the Lord your God" and "love your neighbor as yourself". This promoted God's true heart for relationship with his people and that He despised how man had had created 'religion'. Religion is what killed Jesus, but because of his death and resurection, Christianity is now supposed to be about RELATIONSHIP.
