no one i have heard talk about socialism understands what it is. in successful systems, i.e. great britain, france, etc., certain things that exist for the good of all people are socialized. medicine is one of those things. education is another. that doesn't mean that the governments are socialist governments. actually, the british system is much more democratic than the american system. america is not a democracy; it is a republic. it is a corporate capitalist country. if you are against rampant government spending, then you must hate obama. and guess what? you must hate bush more! how much has the "war on terror" cost us? how many lives? how much money? if you are against the creation of a public healthcare option, i hope you never need medicare/medicaid. i also hope you don't know or care for anyone on medicare/medicaid, because then you'd be a raving hypocrite. if you want a democracy, i sincerely hope you're not under the impression that mccain would have given it to you.

Lets limit welfair babies to two. After that we offer them sterilization. (for free) For those that complain about jobs moving out of country. If someone decided to build a plant everyone would be complaining that (don't put it my back yard. Let the cities and counties pay for their own parks, schools, playgrounds. We should the government (accross the nation) give subsidy checks. Let the cities and counties tax them selves. If their people won't pay a tax so the school can get new playground equipment... screw-em. I the band doesn't get new uniformes, .. screw-um. Why would a town of 15,000 need three fire departments, screw-em.. two will do. Let them tear down that third fire dept and build a factory, that's not in anyones back yard. We are greedy and always will be. I watched a factory go out on strike, (people making 24 to 35 dollars per hour because the insurance company raised their dental co-pay from $5.00 to $7.50. 13 months they were out, how stupid is that. The only good thing that comes from that is the morons that make that much money aren't smart enough to take care of it. So while there on strike, boats, motorcycles, four wheelers and atv's go for pennies on the dollar. I looke out for me and mine. I try to make smart decisions.

This is the truth!I'm a life long Democrat and I voted for Obama in the primary and the general election. (Well, he did get Hillary out of the way, which is good) This guy frightens the hell out of me, but as a centrist Democrat, I see no alternatives.
