Im always surprised by stories like this. Im a gay man that is damn masculine and nobody had a clue. I was scared to death my team mates would find out and beat the shit out of me. I identify with the third poster totally! When I was in high school, I did all the macho stuff - sports, fighting with kids from other schools, etc. At dances, I would pat girls on the ass so they would slap me, and everybody would see it. I had sex with girls early on, etc. But on weekends I put on short shorts and a tank top and hustled men in "By the hour motels." You know what? Men who call other men "fags" always turn out to be gay themselves. This kid I went to high school with, every other word out of his mouth was "fag." He even called girls fags! I agree with poster # 3 - no way would I have done this in high school (In the fifties!)! I had sex with girls, and pinched girls, so they would slap me at dances; anything to "throw them off the scent." I did not divulge my sexuality to anybody until my thirties, when a girl I went to school with came out to me as a lesbian, and then I came out to her. I have never come out to my sisters or my family, it would do more harm than good.
