Despite all your years of therapy, you are still sick. You inject me with your poison everytime we talk about self esteem. I am beautiful, why isn't that enough?

Beautiful or not really doesn't matter. All beauty fades away. What kind of person are you? Why would you hang with a sick, poisonous person. Curb them.

Are you physically beautiful or mentally? there is a difference.

If you are allowing and continue to be affected by someone who "injects you with poison" then you really do have a self esteem problem and are the one who belongs in therapy. You may be beautiful on the outside but inside you sound like a pretty ugly person who expects others to validate them.

Don't let others tell you you're not beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What one person finds repellent, another finds hypnotic and erotic. People that down others are usually down on themselves.

i have no choice in the fact that I am in this persons presence. It's my mother who has the poison.

By the way, sometimes if I am feeling bold, I do tell her to worry about just herself. She is not fat anymore for gods sake, it might be OK to eat something in front of someone else just once!! I hate when she makes comments about what others should and should not eat. No, I really am a beautiful woman, I get flirted with all the time. Does it go to my head? No, it confuses me. Most days I really am OK. I walk around with confidence. I just wonder when my mom will finally be happy enough to give it all a rest. She is 68. When can she relax?????

So what if it is your mom? Are you going to spend the rest of your life blaming your pain and sadness on her? She is who she is and you have a choice on what you will or will not accept in your reality. When she talks about what you eat tell her to mind her own business and then don't worry about it. BOUNDARIES!!! But it's easier to be a victim right?
