My kids made great company and after I raised them I found my soul mate. It was worth the wait. If you miss adult company go to church. It will do you and your kids good.

I push people away constantly. I have been hurt SO much in my life. I am married with two kids, I feel lonely and afraid of actually being alone. Don't do it, reach out to someone even though it's hard to trust again. I am with you. PEACE

I agree with going to church, you don't have to be a bible thumper, just go and be with some good people. Everyone will be nice and you might make some really good friends.

^ True. There are very few "good people" at church, but tons of people with agendas, guilt, judgmentalism, and hypocrisy. The entire religious structure is based on the wrong things. The OP does need to be surrounded by good people, but she'd do much better by looking for a Meetup group or similiar, where she'd meet people who actually like her.
