No it's not conflicting at all. Most people who cling to being right all the time do so because they are threatened by other people. A secure individual is confident in their point of view but is also open to seeing another persons perspective and has a willingness to learn more. Insecure people are terrified of being wrong and discovered for the fraud they are hence they are always fighting and declaring they are right and everyone else is wrong. This makes perfect sense. It's really hard to remember why I married him. He was a nice person once, still is sometimes but he does nothing to get over this "problem" of his and it get's real old and lonely being with someone who refuses to change. His penis would be less of a problem if he was a nicer person and not such a jerk. He treats most people as if they are just stupid and most of the time he treats me this way. I could do without the sex but his meanness is the real problem.
