My 3-year-old has never in his life looked like this, or touched anyone with nasty hands. It's a matter of how well the parents control and teach their child. A filthy child reveals a lazy parent.

Sometimes my daughter she plays outside a lot actually, she is constantly covered with dirt, I wash her up all the time except sometimes when I am running out the door to pick my son up from school, I run out the door and just call her..we leave and she is dirty..who cares though? I am not a lazy parent. It's just dirt, or candy or gooeys...you will live. I would take a sticky hug or kiss from a child any day.

Children are people too and need to be treated with care and kindness regardless of the family they were born into. IMO anyone who still operates under the idea that children are property, should be see and not heard are the peopple who should be imprisoned. Anyone who can't look past their own uncomfortability and have care and concern for a child is a sociopathic freak who needs to be locked away where they can't harm anyone.

i have to agree w/ the op and 6 ^^. i dont have any desire to be around anyone elses kids and could not even tolerate them until i had my own. kids get dirty, and mine are dirt magnets, no matter where, no matter when! i love them sticky or not, and have learned not to stress out about it, but i don't expect anyone else to love it or have to deal w/ it. if i have to grab my kids and run somewhere, i keep them to myself.

I agree. I have a 3 year old and yes, she gets dirty, but when we are at home. Before we leave for the day she is bathed, has lotion on and deodorant on, and always has her hair styled. I dont like her running around looking scrubby, it's a reflection of my parenting skills.

^deoderant on a 3 year old? OMG that is so OCD. Three year olds don't need deoderant or perfume or nail polish or hair spray or pierced ears... they are little children for god's sake! All toddlers need are a bath with shampoo at least every other day and a little lotion, clean clothes... do you know the chemicals in deoderant? Are you trying to give her cancer?

You parents eat stuff thats half gummed up and rolling out of your kids mouth at restaurants! You can smell whether you have a kid or not in your car! HAHA No No You are distusting too so I guess you can't help if your kid is. You are just teaching them to be one of the family. You stopped bathing everyday after you had the runts and now your hubby won't touch you either... or come home. Having kids does not mean you have to be gross!
