Parents do not teach their children discipline or respect. I could see how a person could think that they would be a great teacher and enjoy the rewards but if they can't get the children enthused and cooperative. I just hope you are not making learning a dreadful experience for these kids.

If you hate them then YOU'RE doing it wrong!Kids are a blast. You just have to know how to handle them and you obviously do not have kids of your own. Sure there's always a few in a crowd that are hyper and spaz but mostly they are great!

Children are terrific! Children are exhausting! Childrens parents can be a royal pain in the butt!At the close of this year if you aren't any happier, please, leave the teaching profession, and work in an area you will be happy. Save our children!

I love most kids, but "inner-city" youth are from HELL! Their parents are often as uncivilized. At my last school Open House, I had 1 out of 130 students' parents show up, and she was obviously my best student!

inner city youth are from hell...wtf. Do you relize that alot of thier parents aren't even in the picture, so if they even show up for school give them a A. Also most of those parents in the ghettos work two jobs minmum to barely make ends meet. They cannot work two jobs and be a perfect parent they do thier best I am sure. And of course there are the lazy ones who just don't care. Do not group all "inner city" people together. If you want to blame someone blame the governemnt for making it soo difficult to support a family in this "great" country. You have obviously lived in your bubble far to long, time to pop it.

This is everything thats wrong with the world. Low tolerance for the youth, we need people who can tolerate to guide our children in the right direction not someone who hates them and gives upon them. So sad nobody cares about the youth,no wonder the world is the way it is. Look at the kids...thats where the world is going.

People need to think about kids before they have them. This is nothing new though... it's just becoming more the norm that parents don't spend time and teach their children BEFORE they go to school. The T.V. may keep them from bugging you, but it does't teach them to sit, listen, or to be respectful of others. My dog is better behaved and socialized than a disturbing amount of children. It isn't the teachers fault. The teacher didn't have access to your brat before kindergarten, but you did. Just because you decided to waste your precious gift, don't blame the teacher... he has probably 30 kids to teach... you only had 1 or two so put the blame where blame is due.

So because the parent is lame that means oh well who cares. Blaming does nothing. It doesn't help in anyway. What we need is more caring people to help with children who have parents who don'tcare. No every single one won't change but look at adults(yes you too) some are a** ****s some aren't. Don't give up though.

I respect all teachers(the good ones) You may be a good one, maybe try to teaching at a higher grade level..One thing is true, alot of parents to day don't teach the kids respect for anyone.. That is where alot of the problems begin.. So keep your chin up
