I hope you take the time to see that there may be a reason for this, somewhere around the corner there may be a job offer that you wouldn't have considered, and that could be great for you. Or while you are looking for a job you may realize you would be more fulfilled in another profession, or even meet someone really great because of this move. Everything happens for a reason. I'm still at a job that's all commission, and beleive me, in this economy, I may as well be jobless. I hate change though, so I need a kick in the butt like you got!

I was informed two months ago that my job was being "restructured" and that I no longer fit what the company needed. I was in the same boat as you -- because I had 3 years of stellar reviews, am well-liked at work, etc. BUT, I pulled myself out of it and started looking hard for something else. I found something BETTER than what I am leaving. Thing is, had I not been forced to look, I'd never have found it. There is a reason for what happened to you. It may take some time for it to become apparent, but trust me, here.
