That is because you are a worthless alcoholic. You are weak, selfish and lazy and you have this ridiculous notion that life is supposed to be perfect all the time. Guess what? Most of us are miserable most of the time and most of us get through it without being a drunk. We get up out of bed every morning and face it and deal with it because that is all you can do, And sometimes there are moments of happiness and sometimes even moments of pure bliss but the rest is just pain. Stop being a whiner, put the booze down and face it. By being a drunk you are just causing more problems.

Drinking is only adding to your poor mental outlook on life. Make a list of all the people and things in your life that you have to be thankful for. When you start feeling miserable pull it out and remind yourself of how lucky you really are. You and you alone are responsible for your happiness in life. Take some time, do some soul searching, and the answers will come. Abusing alcohol will eventually make you very sick and then you will have physical limitation that you will wish you didn't. Take care of yourself and good luck to you.

^ the idea that alcoholism is a disease is a bunch of BS. Alcoholism is a choice made by people who choose to escape their problems rather than facing them. It is a choice to be lazy, selfish and self centered. The reality is that alcohol affects the physical body of all humans in the same way just in varying degrees based upon the size and health of the person and the amount consumed. There is no "disease" by the traditional definition of it. And getting into AA will make no difference if the alcoholic continues to remain weak and selfish. They will find new addictions, even the program can become the addiction and then they can continue to behave as though the world must revolve around their comfort levels. Please get real and stop BS yourself and everyone else.
