I had a boyfriend like that... it took 5 years to learn/give up hope that he would change. Video games and cars took all his time and money, after a while I got tired of my own nagging. Don't waste that much of your life.

^ the poster still did not say if the 30 year old guy fell on hard times. It's really assuptive of you guys to tell her to run. For seeral reasons. It is not uncommon for families outside/inside the US to live together. everyday more and more people decide to move back in with thier parents, and it is just getting worse. Do you realy think you are doing yourself and him a favor by running? What if all you needed to do was just help each other. why dont you ask him to move in with you? If you want marriage with this person, maybe that is an acceptable idea? The poor guy must be down about this as well. Maybe he is down right miserable and thinks living with his mother is goig to kill him. How many mothers out there would accept their children back into thier homes because the love between mother and child is very powerful. finally, I dont know what sort of relationship he has with his mother, but if it is a wholesome and respectable relationship, then you can pretty much garantee that he will be respectful and good to the woman he is with. So all you haters and judgemental minds, can just relax; their is always more than one side to every story. when you are able to look at both sides then you are in a place to pass a judgment. If not, why bother ... you just end up looking like a jerk to people that have learned this valuble lesson.
