Thats cool. It's respectful, but don't trash the rest of your life because someone else you love in passes. Use that love as a foundation to build yourself into a better person. I am sure the person you are in love with will tell you to find a new love and always remember them. Thats because they want the best for you and if they knew you were contemplating squandering away because of their death, that in itself would break their heart.

Dosen't anyone have any empathy anymore? It hurts when someone you love dies! It is especially hard to watch them just waste away if they have cancer of something.
