Find something to fill time. It may sound stupid but someone suggested running to me. I've always HATED running. But i found a couch potato to 5k in 8 weeks program and it worked and now i belong to the local running group and it was a big life changer. If you feel dead whats there to lose?

To the author of this post: that makes two of us, the point is that even though we feel as being already dead, the bills keep coming and there is no hiding from those. I feel for you as I feel the same way. I hope we could the light soon.

This may be your only shot at life on this planet. Better make the most of it.

The point is you are still taking up space, breathing oxygen and eating food that other useful people could be using.

Please don't do it. Those of us who live are the ones who hurt.

There is a life out there that you would love to live. It is not the one you are living in now. Change your life. Start by accepting that all things are products of your decisions, decisions you have made and decisions you are going to make. Accept responsibility and be accountable for your decisions. That one small change, take the blame and put it on yourself will change you for the rest of your life.

To the lame asses who always state that people like the OP are taking up space, oxygen, etc. and suggest that they should just off themselves already, I just hope that you never find yourself in this situation. It happens when you least expect it, and while it can be corrected rather quickly and easily, it sometimes lingers and becomes worse, no matter how wise you are to the fact that it's "silly" and that you know better than to allow yourself to get stuck in that place. To the OP, it's a terrible feeling, and as some of the others have said, get yourself involved in different activities. You'll soon find something that lifts that heavy, tiring feeling.

I hope we all find a way to be compassionate. I hope others find it within themselves to find that hobby and stop hurting other people. If this is your world, I am sorry. No one told me that when I was born into your world. I am sorry that my weight, my color, my hair, the way I walk, my glasses, my existence offends you. Please let us share your world and allow us to exist here without your sabotaging our self esteem and ability to be happy.

^^ Look in the mirror you will see you are not perfect either. I have tried so hard to make everyone happy, no one ever is, least of all me. Screw you. If the dimple on my ass offends you don't look. If I am wearing clothes that bother you just think to yourself..."I am glad I don't have to wear that." You don't have to tell people mean things. Be a real man and hit me then if you want to hurt me. That won't hurt as long and I have a reason to go crazy on ya!

You'll be alive again..and not only that but way better than what you were before you died. I do it all the time. The only problem is, everytime I do die, it's harder and harder to come back to life but it feels good to be a fighter.

OP: I understand precisely how you feel. And I suspect there are far more others who do than you now realize. As for suicide: if you don't have any religious convictions that would prevent you from doing so, consider the most practical reason. The majority of those who attempt suicide do not succeed in killing themselves, but they ARE successful in doing themselves permanent harm. I will never forget changing bandages on a 26 year old man who intentionally overdosed on his mother's insulin. The paramedics revived him (as they are required to by law). He didn't die, but DID turn himself into a vegetable. He will spend the next 50 years lying in a county hospital bed, hooked up to a respirator and a feeding tube, while staring at the ceiling and making random movements with all of his limbs. Please try to find some comfort in life, no matter how small. If your nights are lonely, perhaps you can find some interesting reading and/or viewing material at the public library. I know it may not be much, but it's all I've got, and so far I'm managing.
