I am enjoying this! I want to do the same thing. I want to get married and be all his! I am tired of the rest of the world hurting me and being so freaking rude! I have worked 2 jobs for a long long time, to do what society tells me I should. Buy a house, cars, ect. ect. Thing is that list never ends, so you never win. Farmlife here I come! At least I can support myself instead of my job.

(op)to all the woman who posted that are stay at home moms, thanks for the support! it just reinforces my decision for a lifestyle change :) and for all the negative nancy's out there.... you are jealous, just admit it! i think it stems from the fact that you are not really happy...i was you at one point! i worked 70 hours a week for years and was so depressed because i had no balance in my life. now i'm finally in a place where i have the opportunity to focus on my family and it is my dream come true.....what more could you ask for than a happy healthy family? so go ahead and judge me. i keep in mind something my mother told me a few years ago. her biggest regret was not staying home to take care of her children. she put work first and she lost out on a very precious gift that she could never get back....time!

My wife always worked part-time so she could be home when the kids returned from school. She always wanted to stay home full time. We were finally able to reach that goal financially. I will never leave my wife. She is an excellent mother and a loving wife. If you have to worry about your husband cheating on you if you don't work, then you don't have a good relationship in the first place.

Nothing at all wrong with being a home maker if that's what you choose and your partner earns enough so you don't need to work OUTSIDE the home. But you can stay home without a child. Don't have the child simply because you want to be able to justify staying home to people too narrow minded to accept that it is your right. If you WANT to have a child independently of your desire to stay home, may G-d bless your new family.
