OP: My son won't 'stand up' because he doesn't want to alienate his wife's family. The father-in-law (stepfather to his wife) is a raging alcoholic and has lost his driving privileges forever. No matter what you say, I will always stand up for my kids, that is what family is all about. I can do things anomalously that they can't do. My other son's boss was trying to embarrass him at work, so I removed all of the valve stems from his tires. I love my kids and don't like to see them suffer. My dad died when I was young, but I like to think he would have done the same for me. To you others who think I'm coddling my sons...f*** you...and DON"T f*** with my kids!
