^ True. At least 3 shots and one thing most people do not realize...you need to be within 12 feet of the attacker. You do not want to be asked, "Why could you not just retreat or run and hide instead of killing"? You need to have the answer, "They were coming at me very close, I thought they were close enough to hurt me". With that you will be vindicated. Sometimes that means your self taking a few steps to close the gap. Don't be afraid to shoot, be afraid to be indicted.

My house is mapped out. The police around here know he is crazy. I don't need to practice. I grew up around guns. I don't need to remember to take the safety off, It IS off. I have no children. My doors and windows are locked but that doesn't help he lived here too. I also invested in a dog. She is an excellent watch dog. She ALAWAYS is on alert and lets me know when someone is here. I hope I don't have to use the gun eather. Self defence? I will shoot him in each knee or foot. He wont run far. I ran out of room in my post. I have had the PFA for 2 years. I am now happily married. My husband hates him worse than I do I think. My Ex broke my nose and shattered my cheek bone the night I made him leave 2 years ago. I have to have surgery to fix my face so it looks "normal" I will never be able to afford it. Insurance doesn't cover it. It is "cosmetic"! Maybe I will shoot him in the face. He will know how it feels to look ugly.
