Because nobody ever understands that 100 years from now it won't matter who lived or died over a piece of land/religion/oil/whatever. Even most of the idiots posting right here about it. Odds are they saw Afghanistan as justified or Iraq was a good idea in the beginning or whatever. Everyone is right in their own mind, and that's the root cause of war. You just have people with power who can make their righteousness impact an entire other nation.

Because war = money. Period. There has never been a conflict that wasn't about power and money. They can call it revenge, they can call it intervention, they can call it fighting for god. The only people who are justified in war are people who are fighting their own oppressive governments or people who are defending themselves from people who are fighting them for their power or money.
