God never turns away from you, He is always there, it is always we who turn away from Him, and you must initiate and maintain the relationship. When I feel far from God, it is always because I have neglected our relationship, by not praying, reading His word, and meditating on how much He has done for me. We are to approach Him as a child approaches a parent. How would you feel if your child never spoke to you, or told you thanks, or told you they loved you?
