pick one new hobby you always wanted to try (cooking, gardening, quilting ect) but never took the time to actually go out and do. not only will you broaden your horizons, but you will also meet like minded people who share your interests. GO OUT AND MEET PEOPLE! there are so many good people who could be our friends if we only took the time! i also like volunteering. its a wonderful thing that you can do with your kids. its also a great opportunity to meet some friends. happy thanksgiving :)

the best friends you'll ever have is your family! the gist of any relationship must be friendship or it has no real value or meaning and will never last, you'd only be wasting you time with anything else! just because they are your family doesn't mean they can't be sooooo much more!!!!! and they should be!!!!!!!

I'm 34 and the same. Hang in there and be yourself. I just "do my own thing"and school my son and daughter in being Christ-like. I love my life! My wife is my best friend

I'm 25 and in the same boat. My BF from high school stole a boyfriend during our school days. I still talked to her after that but once I got married cut off all contact with her because I couldn't trust her. I watched her hit on my husband once and that was it she was done. She'll facebook me sometimes but I haven't seen her in at least 5 years. It's hard I know because sometimes when you are having a bad day you want to call and talk to someone that you know will be on your side no matter what. I've recently started to go out and met people, more for my kids to have platmates but having a mom friend would be great too.Sign your kids up for a few things. My local library offers a 30 minutes "preschool" type class with reading, songs and a crafts project and it's free. There are a ton of other parents and when the kids are around it seems to be easier to start a conversation. I also volunteer for any school thing and am meeting people that way. I looked for an obvious common ground and that would be kids around my kids ages. And remember don't judge a book by it's cover and don't be afraid to start talking first.

Yo'. I'm like 54 and I haven't had a "dog" since about 1992...and even then it wasn't like a brother or nuthin'. The older you get, for a man, the less friends you have. It gets to be more like "People you know better than others".
