What are you expecting? It seems like men don't even want to date anymore, and just go straight to asking to hook-up, if this is your issue, then yes by all means quit dating for a while (as I did, for this reason). There are fewer decent men around, or perhaps it is the metro area where everything is non traditional. However if you are looking for gifts, trips, and regular dinners out, please consider that men are as poor as the rest of us during this economy. I am only concerned that they treat me well and respectfully, are honestly single and able to date, and have enough brain to carry on a decent conversation.
