I have been there... just finished out my husbands second iraq tour. sometimes they get busy and forget that we can't see that without an email or letter or call. It is a hard life, but I commend you for choosing it and making it work.

Your drama act that worrying will somehow keep him safe is old. Go talk to someone at ACS to get through your self-imposed torture. The rest of us know it is out of our hands and just take each day as it comes. When the past generations were in Korea and WWII years went by without information and those marriages lasted to the golden anniversary and beyond. There is something to be learned there. Chill.

My husband is on his 4th tour. 16 days is nothing. I know it hurts but hang in there. The internet is the best way for us to keep in touch. Thank God for web cams and the internet;) Good luck. Keep your head up.
