I think Christmas is an old German word for GIMME! I always look for the true feeling of Christmas where I can, but it get's more difficult when commercialism is shoved down our throats more and more every year. I think drawing names for gifts just emphasises that even more.

Ummmm, 'scuze me...but just where the hell have you been for the last 150 years? The commercialization of Christmas has been around for over a century. It's always been like that...it starts as a mindset when people are children and carries on into adulthood.

I would have edited this post if i could have. I used to love The holiday dispite the commercialization of it. But seems as the years go by people freinds and family all seem to expect to receive something.
