^i don't know many mothers who just keep their children for a stupid paycheck, they usually love them...wow! what a thought, a mother not wanting to give her child away because she loves her and can't let her go....the op was the one who mentioned feeling used for a child support payment....even though it is his kid and he should pay for it. and how funny is it that if the kid was given away he wouldn't have to pay for her anymore....so who has the real motive here? i think the father is sick of paying for a kid he doesn't get to see. and who determined that? THE COURT SYSTEM aSSHOLE! his decision to have that kid with someone he can't stand is something he will have to live with it....so pay up buddy, eighteen years is a long time and you will sit in jail if you don't!

he wants an open adoption, which means he wants to be able to get to know her and watch her grow up, and he's a least responsible enough to know he cant give her the life she needs. there are all kinds of women out there that get pregnant on purpose for the welfare, to trap the man, for c.s money. they are too stupid to realize that you cant make money off a kid or keep a man because of one either but that sure doesn't keep them from trying! i'm female and when it comes to kids, women are BITCHES! just b/c your a mom doesn't mean you are a decent caring loving person.

sad, that everyone here assumed the courts stepped in and are saying the father cannot see his daughter. i know someone who went thru the systems, his ex still gets the check, and the system oredered visitation...guess who took that one right away?...yup...the mom, so, 2^, yeah women are b****es when it comes to kids...(btw...im female too). i cannot understand why someone would keep their child from the father OR mother if its not a matter of child safety or welfare...

the mom can't "take" away visitation, it just means the dad has to actually hire a lawyer and FIGHT for it....our legal system is a joke no matter who it pertains to...hello its called a LAWYER! they cost money but its the only way to establish your case legally and to MAKE SURE they other party follows through with whatever the court orders.

sometimes its best to keep a child from a parent who a pattern that shows how for 40 years he spent his life running from any responsibilty that he came across. thats what he did once he relized that his new baby girl was gonna change his life in away that he couldnt handle- so he left. I did give a crap about the emotional or financial burn he left his x to hanlde. And then expects her to not protect their daughter from feeling abandoned a second time when he disappears from her life when hes bored with his visiting schedule or it interfers [with somrthing else hed rather do. hell yes its okay to keep a parent out of a childs life if its gonna cause trauma to a child in some way!!!!!!!!!
