I think PETA does it's job..maybe extreme in some cases, but maybe if they were not willing to get extreme, things would be worse. I think we need to be shepards of the animals on our planet and not be like the white/black man buffalo hunters of our past. PETA helps protect our animals from mans inherant need of greed. i sat next to a group of local peta woman in a resturant once and the things they they were planning were aweful! most of what they were planning was destruction of private property, but the attitudes they had were disgusting. i think they would have been perfect SS wives in germany, they were obviously taking great pleasure in plotting their attack. um, your like 50 years old GROW UP! stop acting like little kids who throw hissy fits because you don't get your way. i think that some of peta's larger campaigns are good, but their scare tactics is going a little too far.

I don't necessarly think PetA is about don't eat meat. it's about treating animals with respect. Killing an animal for fur only is sick, killing a animal to consume only half is also sick. Everyone does it but may not even know. Before over consumption and watse people used to have to Kill there own food, remember? And when they did they ate for week off of One kill and used the whole animal for it's resources. We have lost this connect to why God Gave us the gift of animal. Eating other animals is Nature, don't think for a second czuse you like and respect a lion he won't eat you if he's hungry, the only thing is that you will be completly devoured no wasting ;)

I'm sorry you don't care for anything other than yourself and your material things. I am sorry that you have no sense of empathy or conscience. I am sorry I have to live in a world where so many people are like you. If you are not the one screaming in pain it doesn't matter. Make sure you wear a sign so you don't get help should someone else be empathic to your circumstance one day. PETA does use shock tactics. It's because of people that like to live in thier own little world and not acknowledge the unneccessary pain being caused every minute. Did you understand that? I said unneccessary. Unneccessary. It is not a simple matter of eating meat vs. not eating meat, it is however a simple matter of being just. Animals have been tested on for the same things for 50 years, with no new results, no new information, simply because there is funding to continue doing it. Guess who pays for it? Taxpayers. I would rather buy myself something than the government torture an animal.

Also, while it may be fine to eat meat, the problem is in how we raise and kill the animals. Why must they live and die so horribly when they give us the greatest gift? We should show some compassiuon and respect. Just because we are going to use the flesh of the animal does not mean it is ok to make it scream and bleed and be electrocuted, kept in small crates as babies, beaten, skinned alive, and never ever see the light of day, or take a breath of fresh air it's entire life. Think about it.
