Not true. I'm married 28 years and I still open doors for my wife, my daughters, my sisters and any woman who is in the vicinity of a door that is closed and needs opened among other things.

IMO ~ the majority of men are just too lazy. They were taught better. Again, there are exceptions ~ and thank you to the men that exercise the proper way to treat a lady.
