I feel the same way! I love my dog as much as my children and on some days even more! lol But seriously, if I were to lose my home I could never abandoned my baby. I'd rather live in a box on the street WITH her if that's what it came down to! NEVER could I part with her until the day one of us dies. She's 13 now so I tear up thinking about that day but to leave her and move someplace else? I can't imagine EVER doing that! That's just heartless!

I love this post! Thank you! I am the same way and it tears me up when I see people giving thier animals away on cl or at the shelter simply because they don't have much time anymore, not even a decent excuse!

A painful reality we all see in this picture and yet do not notice...we have many associates and partners. But yet few "friends" if any to count on or whom can count on us in return. But a pet, in this case a dog, will give you the attention and love that associates and partners do not extend to one another.How many "friends" do people have? Real friends that is....

^2 true real friends a hard to come by, i charish the ones i do have. i use that word very carfully, people are fake and will portray like they are your best friend for selfish reasons without concern of the out come of their actions. nothing is real in todays world it's all about image, how it looks to those looking so people paint a pretty pitchure of family, friendship...ect when they are realy empty inside. i rather have 2 that i can call friens then 50 that smile in your face but forget that you exsist as soon as they can't see you. and relationship/marriages there even worse, people will live disconnected and miserable afraid of what everyone will think, the everyone who forgets you exsist.. weird and sad isn't it and people are teaching this to their kids, thats even sadder! had someone tell me it's about responsability,i say BS you can teach responsability and teach kids how to be honest and real!! the world is in dire need!!!!!!!!!!!

I can empathize with this post I have only had two animals in my life a cat, and a dog I love them both. This past summer my cat died Me and my sister got him when I was four years old I'm now 21 my cat was like another sibling. Now I only have my dog who I had since I was 9 and he is a sinking ship, But I have some of the best memories of my childhood thanks my cat and dog, Fred
