Something about these drugs seems to literally steal peoples souls. I was looking at faces of Meth last night and the people who had been on it, looking into their eyes... they were gone. Just like the person above said.

^Does it show the progression (Or, should I say, regression?) of the crack heads' looks? I saw a line-up of mug shots of this one chick somewhere. Beautiful girl, great smile... over a few years she turned into a skinny, fugly skank with rotted out teeth. I just can't imagine any kind of high being worth that.

it's easy to find yourself where that woman is. all of the harder drugs (meth/coke/heroin) are uber super addictive, because they have awsum mind blowing effect (i kno because i've done a few m'self). Be SURE: these people know where they are in life, and they know their life is f***ed. You can 'be there' for them if you wish, but you must realize that being there will soon degrade to mere enabling unless you intervene prior to simply cutting them off. Push them towards help, then hope for the best. Any change for the better has to start with them, do not let them take you down with them, they dont want you to go down either.

My sister and my niece were both crank addicts. They had to lose everything including their kids before they got help. They are both clean now and doing very well.. My sis for over 10 years now and my niece for over 4 years... There is help out there but they have to hit bottom to wake up. OP.. have you thought of going thru the tv show... Intervention? You can go on line and apply. I have done it for a friend recently.

I will tell you this, my mother is a crack addict and has been for most of my life. I can remember when she was a person easy to love, it has been 22 years we have been through a lot. She has had 4 crack babies, and lost almost everything. She is nearly 50 years old and still uses, but she has realized the hurt she has done to her family and is working very hard to redeem herself. She has come a long way and has even further to go......there is hope.PS the bottom can be a very deep place for some, good luck and take care of those babies.
