^,^^Actually I'm a tattooed, scarred and convicted guy that found Jesus and turned my life around. Now I'm a white collar professional married family man that still sees the former roughneck in the mirror.

Maybe you should look at it in a different way as in these are reminders of who you never want to be again. Look in the mirror and be proud of who you are are NOW. Think about how many people are still where you used to be (or headed there soon)? It's not easy to crawl your way out of darkness. You've found the light, enjoy it!
