I tried that on my son's dead beat father, and he refused to sign. Not only was he a deadbeat, he wasn't too bright either. Hope you have better luck than I did.

My ex hadn't seen my son since he was 9 months old. My son was about 10 when I tried to get him to sign. He refused. Like I said, he wasn't too smart. My son is now 22 and the law is still hunting him for back support.
