Ever since I was a little kid I've felt this unending sadness. Tried therapy, meds, sex, exercise, only drinking numbs it temporarily. I don't know what to do.

Go see your family doctor and level with him/her. Tell them you need help. There are good medications for clinical depression. You don't have to live this way. And you need God in your life to give you unending hope for tomorrow...whether you believe it or not, God loves you and Jesus died for you.

You probably do need God, but there are other religions. Try yoga or meditation.

I was actually going to say meditation of yoga as well. try a guided meditation class. most people have no idea who to start clearing their head so they can simply sit and just 'BE'. There are so many different ways for some many different people. Some go to medication, and some honestly need it. Most though, most can sort things out with making healthier life choices. changing their eating habbits, participating in a hobby or volunteering in something that brings them unquestionable joy, or simply just 100% deciding that they will NOT accept feeling the way they do and contimuing to change variables until they find soemthing that works for them.I personally wouldn't look to god or advise anyone else to, but others have and do and they have great success.Whatever you do, just don't give up, life is beautiful sometimes we just need to look at it in the right light?on a side note, if you like animals, trying being around them more, they help with depression without even trying

I hear ya buddy! I tried all those those things. Now I just pay my bills, love my loved ones and drink every night until I am calm enough to sleep. Look for friends and talk to them. Try to have fun sometimes. Don't drink and drive. Hopefully we will both get better.

Try hard to find peace. I think it does not come cheaply. During the times of my life when I tried I got some relief. Whn I despaired, I got only lower. Sometimes it is a daily battle. But try, do right, think right, intend right, I am no succes story but I have survived. and i have raised my children

Stay off the SSRI's... it will only make things worse in the long run. Feeling is hard but when you shut off feeling for a time it makes it all worse.

Drinking is good. Some people will tell you to get hooked on pills because a doctor gives them to you, don't do it.

Find a Church that's focused on The Gospel of Christ, instead of Organized Religion. Call on Jesus...he's waiting to help you.

Doctors now think that many depressed people are just realists who see the world the way it really is. That's how I am, even with meds, I find life depressing, always have.

All you need is the love of your Heavenly Father who sent his Son Jesus to die on the cross for you and bring peace and freedom. It is in Him only that you will find relief from your depression. Try reading the book of Psalms from the bible. It has helped me in great times of sorrow. God created you with a good plan for your life... Seek Him and He will show you what that is as well as His unwavering love for you. Don't give up, and God bless you.
