I'm sixteen and have never gone out with a girl, I usually block out the loneliness, But sometimes I cry and wonder if I'll ever be good enough for anyone.

Honey you are so young and you have plenty of time. If you are lonely, join a group activity of some kind. You most certainly are good enough, and when the time is right you will find someone special.

You're going to hate reading all this cheesy advice, but the above commenter is right. You're 16. Plenty of people haven't been out on a date by the age of 16. It may not seem that way at your school, but trust us old folks on that one. My teenage years were plenty awkward as well. Hang in there, you'll be alright.

I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 17. No one in school saw me as "girlfriend" material. I was awkward, dorky. I masked my sadness with making people laugh and being the class clown. I graduated at the age of 17. I started working out, going out. Lived my life for me, instead of the box people tried to put me in. My life turned out pretty great!

I avoided females like the plague until I was 18, and even then I made a few dating mistakes that I regret. Wish I had held off til I was about 25. For the record I'm 27 now, so I'm not talking a lifetime ago. Don't sweat it. There are far more important things in life than the opposite sex.

Definitely focus on group activities. Join a club, go to a coffeehouse with a group of friends, etc. The more girls get to know you in a group setting, the more you'll be comfortable talking to them and eventually asking them out. Trust me, they are as nervous as you are. Once you gain confidence in just talking to them about normal stuff, the rest will follow. Don't sweat it!

When you do start your love life, don't miss a thing.Do it all, I started with an older woman 19, then younger my age 16, Then meet an older guy 20s and had so much fun that I am Bi and go with BOTH, Safe Sex ONLY, Good Luck.

Op: I've got a /nice/ car with more than roomie seats (They'll never be used. :[ ) Just got my GED, And I've got a full time job and I'm about to get emancipated; I've gone through everything. I got out of going to school [Because I was always the weird kid] like two years ago, And it only made the possibility of dating anyone far further from reach.Life's f***ed.

Don't worry about it, most people feel like that around your age. Being 16 can be tough but it doesn't last forever. Someday you'll look back and long for the freedom of your youth.

The fact that you are sixteen does not make what you feel any less real. I am not going to tell you it will all be ok. I will tell you that you have to be able to love yourself, the good and the bad. You cant't love anyone unkess you love yourself first.

Girl, I was 18 before I found the courage to ask some one out. Let me tell you, I didn't find the love of my life until I was 22 and we had been friends all through school. I realized there's someone for everyone and it just has to hit u in your face before you know it.

Have you ever asked a girl out? Most girls aren't going to ask the guy first. Not at that age.

YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR WAY OF THINKING!!!!!IT'S NOT THAT YOUR WAITING FOR SOMEONE WHO THINKS YOUR GOOD ENOUGH BUUUUUUT RATHER YOUR WAITING FOR SOMEONE WHOS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!! NEVER PUT YOURSELF BELOW OTHERS AND IT'S NOT THAT YOUR ABOVE THEM EITHER BUT SIMPLY WAITING FOR THE RIGHT ONE!! WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO BE WITH JUST ANYONE?? IT'S BETTER TO STAND ON YOUR OWN WAITING FOR THE RIGHT ONE THEN BEING MISERABLE WITH THE WRONG ONE!! GOOD LUCK N STAY STRONG IT'S WORTH WAITING FOR.

16? Seriously, you'll be fine.At 56, you may not remember that there was even a problem. You can't *believe* how much, and how quickly things change. That's a good thing too.

Unfortunately most guys don't look that great at 16 yet the women do. Now men get better looking with age (at least most) so hang in there. The table will be turned before you know it.... hopefully.

I did not date until i was 24. That's when I lost my virginity too. He was my boyfriend, but I was not passionate about him. It was a mistake. and.. guess what. ? of course, I became pregnant. Good thing I love kids ! The child is the best thing that EVEr happened to me! Loves me unconditionally! Sighs. never did find the right man. Good luck to you. .. 16 is young, and so is 24. Keep looking until you find the right person. Age is just a number!!!!!! You have the rest of your life! PS> I also wish to add that I'm bisexual. Some people think I need to immediately go bang a chick to prove this? well> they are wrong. personally, I can go to my grave, "knowing" that I am truly bisexual. (I"ve had dreams all my life of lesbians.) I can also "know" that I do not need to fully experience it in real life... I can die happy right now. never knowing what lusty pleasures might be... there is so much life has to offer. it's not all just sex. some of it is hand holding.. or roller blading.. or walking the dog... so much to do! Of course, I'm female. I guess sex is different for men. they even say men score better on tests with a woman by his side. ... strange. women score the same no matter what.

Don't worry about it! Don't beat yourself up! You're young and you have your whole life ahead of you! Everything will happen for you when it's supposed to happen. I was a "slow starter" as a teenager but after high school I really took off and the popular kids from high school crashed and burned. Wait and see what happens by the time you're thirty!
