I'm not sure this will be of comfort, but generally the truth is better than denial or self delusion. (1) You are SO not the only one whose was chosen mainly for sex. (2) Ask yourself, honestly, where you would be today if you hadn't married him. Are you SURE that 20 years ago you would have chosen someone who REALLY appreciated you? Or did you reject them as "nice guys"? How would you feel today if you'd spent the last 20 years alone?
