DO what makes YOU happy, not what makes OTHERS happy. I know you must hold their opinion of you in high regard but in the end, it's better to do something you're passionate for! You are an adult and you should make your own choices. The only thing that should matter to you is studying something you love. THAT is something to be proud of.

We actually give degrees to people with shitty grades like that?

If you drop out to be a chef, you will regret it down the road when you wish you were making enough pay to be above poverty level. At least you can get a decent job with a degree as a radiation therapist.

You should think about what you want to do, if chef is it then ok. But don't throw any chance away. I wish I had went on to school but now I work too much to and I barely survive.

If you're failing at Radiation Therapy, it's obviously NOT your calling. I say drop out and go to culinary school if you think you're going to be happier in a kitchen. True, chefs do not make a lot of money but if you're really passionate about cooking, the money won't matter. And don't limit your job searches to restaurants only. Spas, resorts, cruise ships, families, catering services, schools, the media, etc. are just some of the industries that employ chefs and culinary professionals.

some of you seriously think being a chef makes no money? you apparently don't have a clue. if you're a good one you'll make pretty good money. pretty sure you shouldn't care what your family wants you to do and you should just do what YOU want. get it girl!

becoming a great chef takes a great deal of commitment and drive and time...all of which you seem to be lacking. stick with your program and graduate!

I also graduated from grand valley back when it was a college and earned an accounting degree but ended up running my own construction company for the past 25 years. Obviously there is more money in accounting than construction right now.....GO LAKERS!!!!
