If you have no kids, than yes, you would be a gold digger or lazy.Also, it's getting harder and harder for families to survive on a single income as you may already know. I know that men like me (which there are plenty out there) would support that idea as well...if you had kids.

I always just wanted to be a wife and a mom. Back in the 40's and 50's, you married, and it was FOR LIFE. No divorcing if he wasn't the one. If he left you, you were stuck with kids and no way to support them. There's a dark side to everything.

I don't think there is anything wrong with what you want, and I don't think just being a housewife without kids makes you lazy. My husband and I both currently work, we have no children. After a long days work, all I ever want to do is relax and have my feet rubbed. It just makes sense that one person brings in the money, and the other has the huge task of caring for the house. That way their home is cared for, and the money maker is getting much needed time to relax.I hope that one day soon I will be able to just be a happy housewife, and not so stressed by work.

I love being a housewife. My hubby works out of town, so it's just me and the kid 4 days a week. It's working out beautifully. We get to really appreciate each other when we are together. It's getting harder financially for me to stay home. But we want what's best for our kid. :)

I wish I could be a stay-at-home mom too. However, I got my degree and work full time in order to take care of my children... It makes me so sad that I'm not able to be with them all the time : (

that is the most honorable thing a woman can do and it makes me sick when woman are looked down on as though they are less for not having a career...I worked my fingers to the bone so my wife could stay home and raise our children instead of strangers and she left me for a career... the world is backwards!!
