man, some people on here have entirely too much time on their hands. to the OP...you are a sweet and caring person and you should never change that. There are small things that you can do but it is impossible to save them all. you could volunteer at a shelter etc...it's very sad i agree though. (and 2 posters up..i agree that you are pretty cool)

I think it is GREAT there are good souls out there who feel for the suffering of different beings. Some focus on dogs and cats. Some on marine life. Some on the rain forests. They help ALL of us keep balance and perspective. GREAT POST!

We need to stop turning our heads. When people we know want to buy a pet or breed their pet tell them in no uncertain terms how selfish they are. Let them know that they are stealing homes from animals that are already here...and breeding, or buying from a breeder sentences another to death... sometimes in horrific ways.

I look everyday at shelter pet on CL in the south looking to get off death row. It kills me too. It is my passion to save them. If I had the money I would open up a shelter myself. So many people are looking for a nice dog in the northern states where I live. They are just so far away.
