Stop worrying about whether or not he feels obligated, that's not your problem. He's a big boy, he can leave if he wants, but he's not, so enjoy the relationship and don't sabotage your own happiness honey!

I believe that once a man has it set in his mind or heart that he is leaving and no longer loves that person that no matter what they will leave kids or not.

i wouldn't do that. my son needs a father in a his life, i would NEVER NEVER denie him that. and i wouldnt need to take him to court.. nor would i, i know already that he will help me with our kid even if we hate each other with a flaming passion! but he wont. because no matter where life takes us, he is still the father of my child, and he stills deserves respect for that.. i will never belittle or talk down about him as a father.. especially to or around my kid.
