It's like when you see a huge cow who says she is a Vegan. I asked one of my bro's from Cali, what's up with that? His response, dude there ain't no meat in a Snickers Bar.

You might want to increase the number of days you exercise. If you do that and you're still not losing weight, you may have a hormone problem and need to see a doctor.

*i do have a hormone problem....my cortisol and hdea levels are very low and it sucks!!! i literally have to work out for 2 hours a day 6 days a week just to lose a pound and i fell and broke my back a few years ago and can't do that kind of strenuous exercise like i used to so all i do is maintain my weight by working out instead of losing it because i can't tolerate more than an 45 minutes of exercise before i am in terrible pain. it is so frustrating :(

HCG is the pregnancy hormone. It causes your body to burn abnormal fat first instead of last. Supplementing along with the HCG diet has dramatically helped out some people I know and many I don't. Look it up. Take it with a doctor or nutritionist who already understands it.

I agree with the drink water comment. Give your body time to adjust to drinking more water.Start off with one or two glasses a day and work your way up to 5-8

*^^ yes it is the truth. i am a borderline diabetic that i control through diet so i have to measure all of my foods and count carbs.....even fruit and veggies! i have cut out wheat completely and limit my sugar intake to things like fruit and the milk i use in my protein shakes. i'm just super frustrated because at this rate it will take me a year to lose about 20-25 pounds which can feel really disheartening at times.....especially when i need to lose about 80 pounds to get down to a healthy weight :(

The answer you seek is very very simple. Your calorie intake is good. You need to walk, walk, walk. Cardio exercises is all you need now. Stay away from the weights until you reach your ideal weight or close to it. Give yourself one month of 4-day workout weeks. Just take it easy. The first month is to get you use to the routine of going to the gym consistently. After one month try to increase your cardio heart rate every few weeks or when you begin to feel stronger. Keep a meticulous chart of each day you workout. When you see increases it will amp you up to want to do more.

Have you considered talking to a nutritionist, a personal trainer and even your doctor? I would take advice from professionals for something this important over the retarded rantings of the sad and lonely every time. Also, read about a zone based diet.
Remove this stupid comment

*^i have a nutritionist who is wonderful and i take a ton of supplements. i also tried personal training but i felt like it was a waste of time and money....i have an extensive background in muscular/skeletal anatomy, physiology and kinesiology and my husband was also a certified personal trainer at one point so if i am struggling with an exercise i can always fall back on him for alternatives. it can be frustrating to know what to eat and how to exercise and still not see the results, but the alternative is living an unhealthy life that will eventually rob me of seeing my son graduate from college.....and i refuse to give up for him!

^You lack a basic understanding of nutrition, dumbass. Unfortunately you are in good company for that.

Study physiology, biochemistry and physics and then get back to us.

Yeah I'm a bit chubby and I've been trying to lose weight in my ass area. No matter what I do it won't shrink.
Remove this stupid comment

2^ why not just try reading the label first?
Remove this stupid comment

*^i have studied physiology, a smigen of biochemistry (as it pertains to my career) and i am aware that physics make the world go round and round(hahaha!)....now please tell me what that has to do with your comment? i am well schooled in the human body and how it works, that was the only point i was trying to make, not that i am smarter than everyone else. the trainer i went to had me spend the first 20 minutes walking on a treadmill...well i can go for a 20 minute walk with my dogs at the dog park without paying 20 bucks for it! the rest of the exercises were squats and lunges and some upper body weight lifting. no offense but i do that at home for free 3 times a week!!!! i tried going to her for a month and after losing not even a pound i decided to work out at home instead. i have not lost any weight but i have not gained anymore either....so i guess i am at a plateau.

You are a fat ass no matter how you look at it.

2^ Apparently you were studying the wrong things for this problem. They haven't helped you. I can assure you have only scratched at the surface of how the human body works unless you have also studied chinese medicine.

*^i see an acupuncturist who is also my naturopath...i take ONLY chinese herbs and supplements to treat my adrenal disorder. she has helped me with gallbladder flushes, hormone imbalance, even fertility treatments and has changed how i look at life. i do not claim to know as much as she does, but i have learned quite a bit from her and appreciate the wealth of knowledge she is willing to share. i refuse to take diet drugs or get gastric bypass surgery, so what do you suggest i do that i'm not already doing at the moment?
Remove this stupid comment

^ Nice, I'm a bit envious. My only suggestion is to give yourself a big hug before bed every night and let yourself know in a lover's whisper how awesome and strong you are.

Hey Y'all fat southern b****es... guess what it's not the gluten. gluten is protein. It's the sugar, starch.. Starch turns to sugar, sugar is stored by insulin... it turns into body fat. duh. ever see a skinny cow? no? what do they eat? GRASS, Grass is carbs. turns to fat. Stop eating the pasta, potatos, sugar, gravy, biscuts... duh duh duh... ok im done. lol

Wow. Ignore all the mean comments on this post. It's sounds like you are really trying hard to reach your goal... Just don't be discouraged... You will make it if you just keep persevering. I'm glad to hear that you are not doing some weird fad diet, but are calculating your calorie intake because that is truly the only way to sustain weightloss as it is more of a lifestyle than a temporary fix. Just keep doing what you are doing... Sometimes it takes a while of doing the right things before your body will believe that you are not going to give it crap anymore. Just don't relent and you will meet your goal. If you have back problems, walking is the best exercise for you... I would aim for an hour of walking per day. And, be more specific with your calorie intake: keep your daily limit at 1,500 instead of 1,800. Good luck to you!

Here's a tip: Drink nothing but water or black coffee (No more than a cup in the AM, coffee wicked retains water in your body!), eat nothing baked: Bread, crackers, cookies, cake, etc. Eat nothing white: Rice, potatoes, etc. No restaurant food, no takeout food, especially chinese! Buy a small cooler and bring healthy food with you whereever you go. I have lost 27 pounds since June 1 doing this, and I'm on track to lose 30 pounds in 2012!
