1^ It really can be that simple. This is exactly what I did. I stayed way too long because children were involved. I had so much guilt about breaking up the home even though things were really bad. We don't know the op's entire situation, so I don't think she should be judged so harshly. To the op...just take that first step, find a way to become self-sufficient. Once you take that step and get the ball rolling, you will be surprised to find it really isn't as hard to get away from him as you thought it would be. I wish you the best of luck.:)
