If it were a choice for women to dress that way, I would be all for it. But it's not a choice... it's a symbol or repression and abuse on women. Why would you choose to wear such a symbol when women are getting murdered for going against this repression?

I wrote this post. First, off I am a very attractive girl and it would actually be nice 2 b noticed for my personality other than my body and looks. Second, women are actually dressed in designer clothes shoes n make up under the burka. Third, yall are very ignorant for thinking just because you are Muslim does not make you a terrorist. Four, our society is so based on looks and celebrity?s that America doesn?t even give two shits about the soldiers dying over there yall only care about what lindsey lohan stole today. Many women over there prefer to wear a burka as oppose to being whistled at when walking down the street or having men stare at your ass when you walk away. Why dont yall educate yourself before you talk shit about stuff you don?t know. I can?t believe how rude and stereotypical yall can be. ^The fighting in the middle east is about oil. Oil companies, wall street speculators, and the military industrial complex perpetuate the chaos. It's not about freedom or democracy, just profiteering off of people's suffering. This includes the military veterans and their families that are being used as pawns by our government to fight for oil companies. You are right about Americans being distracted, though. Everyone should boycott television. That would send a message about freedom now, wouldn't it?

Sure some women choose to and want to wear them... even more are forced to.
