I am the Op and a white guy. I am relieved to know that if this country's demographics are going to change to a brown majotiry it is going to be run by a race other than blacks. Blacks have a victim mentality and feel they are owed. At least Latinos still have a good work mentality and have a sense of family and community connection.

Uh, huh. Sure you are white. I too, live in a rural northern state where plenty of whites voted for Obama, not far from yours. It is a flat-out lie what you are saying about whites. Yes, of course you are the exception because you are more well-read and refined, right? I do not attend church and have no interest in going. I do not need to read the story about the good samaritan. My humanity is such that I live according to my sense of decency. I point of all this is not about hate, though you love to assume otherwise. I know where this country would be headed if blacks took control. Look around today. Forget about what they have done in the past. Look around at their contemporary thinking. Then compare it to Latinos and Asians. The contrast is stark. The problem with African Americans is that they rely on Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson for their philosophical and spiritual guidance rather than the teachings of Martin Luther King.

I was in Arizona once and noticed all fast food workers were Hispanic. Friends told me it was because once a restaurant got Hispanic managers all they would hire was other Hispanics. Their rationale for doing so was that since most of their customers spoke Spanish they could only hire people that SPOKE Spanish. These friends were understandably upset that their highscool aged kids couldn't get after school jobs because of this blatant discrimination. So be careful what you wish for...when the time comes it might be comic relief for the Blacks to watch YOU complain about discrimination too .

I am the 5th poster up. I have a best friend in San Antonio. He is a minority down there. His assessment is completely different than yours. He is an HR manager in a huge corporation. He grew up in a southern state far from where he is now. He loves those people, their culture, and attitude. His kids are teens and work a little after school. They don't have a problem. Don't you agree if an establishment speaks primarily spanish, that would be the language the employees should speak? It isn't about discrimination. It is about customer service. To acclimate himself my friend and his wife are learning spanish. Soo are his kids. It does not get anymore of a melting pot than that. The issue with many people in America is not that Hispanics are coming to America. It is that they are coming illegally. There is nothing wrong with that argument. What ticks me off is that white business owners are hiring them at a reduced wage and forcing the wages down of other wages in this country. That is not an issue with race. It is one of the exploitation by the tenets of Capitalism. Then business owners wonder why there are so many regulations. It is because if business is left to their own devices, everyone would be making 2 bucks an hour as waitresses do.

1 up. Oh, stop it. Will ya? HUD and National Realtor Association did not discriminate. They responded according to the statistics of the financial relevance of blacks. Blacks have a historcially high rate of mortgage failures disporportionate to the country at large. Latinos may not hang nooses outside school, but they sure don't hang black panthers outside polling places either. I agree that Latinos do not lynch black people, they don't make it a habit of targeting white or there establishments for murder and robbery. You are absolutely correct that they do not have anything to do with the Tea Party. Nor do they have anything to do with the racists black Muslims, or racists Reverand(lol)Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. Finally, you do not hear them screaming discrimination everyday in the newspapers.
