I am not going to argue the god aspect of this secret as I don't care what you believe. But for the emotional aspect - the only reason you feel it is a curse is because you live in a world that tells us all that emotions are unnacceptable and expects us all to be automatons. Emotions are important. If we didn't feel a spectrum of emotions we would seperate from one another and easily controlled. Actually that is what is intended.
