I'm an older dad with 3 grown daughters and I can tell you when I'm gone I want them to think of me accasionally with a good laugh and a lasting smile. Don't cry about us being gone, laugh about the crazy guys we were and how much we all loved each other.

My dad died when I was 15. I am now 42 and still miss him.

my dad died 23 years ago when i was 17. i've thought of him Every single day in some way or another since then. i try to remember the good times and how sad it would make him to see me sad and not moving on. good luck to you.

I lost my mom last summer. I cry about her every day, and strongly suspect I will continue doing so for the rest of my life. I try to be grateful for the fact that our relationship was so close and so loving. Not everyone is privileged to have that sort of bond with a parent. G-d bless you.

That's sweet. I remember when my dad died I was 45. I though, I hope I'm grown up now, because my safety net is gone. He help and taught me a lot. I miss him, but I'm fine.

My Dad passed 8 years ago and everytime I think of him I think of all the fun times we had. What makes me cry is the fact I didn't get to say, I love you Dad before he passed. I tell him every night before I go to sleep. I love you Dad and I miss you. You're the best
