The way I see this...Genie is the girl who the original poster screwed over. She left him (lets call him Bob) because Bob made grandious promises of marriage. But when it came to buying the ring, Genie was left dissapointed. Why Bob? It's because Genie didn't know that Bob was sleeping with Genie's mom, Laura. Until one day Laura told Genie about Bob and her. Now Bob is without Genie or Laura. And he's sorry. Am I right Bob?
