  It's never to late.  I met my My father walked out when I was 4, I met him again when I was 31.  I got to spend a week with him, then he died.  My rage at his absence, my pain at his begin gone, disappeared when I grew up.
 
 I miss him terribly, my heart aches for what could have been, but will never be.
 
 BE there now for your son, that will show him everything!

  Hell at least you didn't wait for him to look you up when he was age 30 like I did my ol man.  Mother divorced him because of his fooling around when I was four and I didn't see him again until I looked him up twentysix years later.
