I'm the original poster. I had suspecions even before the call. Her girlfriend is a person she's known all of her life; even before they were in grammar school. I have no reason to doubt her.
I heard my fiance out and she tearfully admitted she said that. I put our relationship on hold and told her never to ask me for money again.
My father is a banker and I make a great salary at the same bank. She knows how much money I make and apparently she planned to marry me; have my kids and then divorce me. Basically all my ex had to offer was her good looks.
