In my life, I have gone through very necessary periods of withdrawal from intimate realtionships,sex, and even friends and family, just to get in touch with myself, and to focus on things that were more important, like grad school. No harm will come to you from having time just to think about who you are, and what you want in life, without the distraction of emotional demands from another person - no matter how much you may like them!
