I can understand your anger AND FEAR, yes fear, and hurt for what your mom has done and for the type of person she is with. You are justified in feeling what you feel and creating boundaries is healthy for both you and your mom. One thing that may help you to heal your anger is to also acknowledge that your mom must be really suffering and feeling weak within in order to have a relationship with a pedophile. Something must have happened to her to make her this way. She obviously has no self respect, has a fear of loneliness and god only knows what else. Keep your boundaries but have compassion for her sickness and have compassion for yourself and get the help you need to heal so your bitterness doesn't consume you. Peace.

You have the right to set your boundaries. Mothers are not always good for us just because they gave birth to us. If he is a pedophile she is feeling so unworthy of love that she feels no one else will love her. If this guy has not been reported please do so right now. If they have and are out of treatment you may be feeling anger toward a past choice that is not who this person is any more. Not everyone who commits a crime is a criminal forever.. Just as some alcoholics recover, so do some rapists, pedophiles, recover have remorse and live perfectly respectable lives.Either way, best of luck.
