I work out constantly to become strong on the outside because on the inside I feel like I'm not strong enough to cope with traumatic emotional experiences.

That's probably a healthier way to deal with it than most other ways like drinking, recreational drugs or sleeping around. Still, too much of anything becomes an obsession and that's not good.

Im scared to get fat, i was 227 at one point, im now 184, i lost 27 lbs since xmas due to stress from work (which is why i quit too) 184 was the smallest ive been since highschool sadly and my family is big on being thin, alot of pressure there, all i hear is how good im looking, and im scared ill go right back to where i was (211) at xmas. I starve myself if i have to. I throw up if i have to, I cant wait for spring, i want to ride my bike so bad and not throw up or starve. I feel addicted to diet pills but they make my feel so much pain and discomfort so i try not to take them, im only on topamax, which helps. But I feel its the only thing i have control over in my life yet, i have no control over it. =( but im a very pretty girl (not to be cocky) but i wish i actually had self confidence, i could be so much happier .

If you are working out because of what others will think of you then it is not healthy.
