Do not tell anyone ever, they will only make your life harder. They will want you on drugs and to see shrinks and doctors. I am "insane" but intelligent enough to know that if i act "insane" i will end up in jail or the psych ward. Be careful, tell no one, enjoy life.

The Learning Channel (or maybe it was Discovery) did a special on this disorder. It sounds neat, but obviously can be quite a burden to someone who has it. I don't think the OP needs to fear telling a doctor about it.

I am not the O.P. but I have a mild case of it and it is not too bad. Certain music reminds me of colors or tastes or smells and certain people remind me of sounds or colors or tastes and certain colors remind me of diff. tastes or smells. Things are not predictable either like the fact that the color Orange tastes metalic even just seeing the written word Orange gives me a bad taste in my mouth. the song blue moon smells like fresh cut grass, a coworker named Juliana tastes like chocolate (not literally) and I once had a boyfriend that always smelled and tasted like cantelope no matter what cologne he wore . And I have broke up with guys because of bad tastes/smells associated with them ex: paint, tomatos, dirt, leather, sour, melted plastic....
