no need for shame. there's nothing in the system turning illegal immigrants away. although illegals are often very expensive due too aid, they have children such as yourself who become consumers and pay (or in your case raise) taxes. your father is an investment now paying off. trouble is we can't afford anymore of these investments right now. keep in mind i am against the illegals and happy about arizona's new law. i have an open mind and i don't hate any immigrants for wanting a better life. i would do the same if i were in their shoes. good luck in your career. follow your heart.

My Grandma was in this country for almost 30 years before she became a citizen! I loved her and never even thought twice about that! She was a great person and a strong one too. It takes a lot of guts to come to this country and not be able to speak the language and still get jobs and buy homes and cars and raise a family! She taught herself English in a time where there was no such thing as press one for English or 2 for Spanish. She would have killed to press 2 for her language!

All of you think it is so easy to get papers look it up dumbasses it isnt as simple as just filling out some papers and paying a fee. If it was there would be NO Illegal immigrants they would all go through the proper channels. Thats why we need immigration reform so that people will no longer have to come here illegally. I have been married for 10 years and have 2 children but my husband cannot legally live here in america with our children and me. After spending $5,000 dollars on lawyers and application fees he still is in status pending after 9 years since we have applied for his papers. As far as the politician goes well what you should do is try to make it easier for your father and those like him to become a legal residents and then help him go through the process of becoming a citizen. Talk about good PR!!!
